Victoria Gallery Showcase Upgrades
SLD is proud to have supported the installation of the Ljusdesign showcase lighting system at Victoria, in collaboration with the State Library Victoria team.
Established in 1854, the State Library of Victoria is Australia's oldest public library and one of the first free public libraries in the world. With a large and growing collection of heritage items, the library takes pride in the countless exhibition displays within the building.
For the new ‘Creative Arts’ permanent exhibition, Melbourne-based MEGS Lighting was engaged to enhance several display showcases with a tailored lighting solution. The Ljusdesign Gimmick fixtures, mounted on the Pico Trac system, were selected for their sleek design, high performance, and exceptional light quality. With local dimming capability and a discreet profile, the system was ideally suited to highlight the exhibition’s approximately 600 unique items.
Overhead, Ljusdesign’s Neo Framer Narrow spotlights, supplied by our reseller, Clearlight, complete the lighting scheme with precision and style.
Congratulations to all involved in bringing this project to life. For more information about the Ljusdesign lighting system, the Victoria Gallery installation, or our reseller network, please contact the SLD team.
