SLD was pleased to have distributed the Ljusdesign lighting system through our Australian reseller, bluebottle for the Mary MacKillop Centre in Penola, South Australia.

The centre is known for sharing the heartfelt story of Mary MacKillop’s life from her years spent at Penola. The core of the institution consists of the Interpretive Centre, which houses the exhibition space, shop, research room and original Schoolhouse museum. With an upgrade needed to enhance the current lighting and visitor experience, lighting designer Benjamin Cisterne was engaged by the Mary MacKillop team to redesign the exhibition lighting.

The upgrade has undergone several development stages; the initial supply of Ljusdesign, Gizmo fixtures on Pico Trac for the existing showcases. Following this, the track and Arty Zoom fixtures for the other elements of the museum. Both improvements have not only enhanced the exhibition appeal but also improved visitor experience for the regional centre.

Our team was thrilled to have supported our local reseller in Adelaide, bluebottle, throughout this project, who worked collaboratively with the on-site team at Penola to achieve the best possible outcome. Congratulations to all involved in the lighting upgrade. For more information on Ljusdesign and the Mary MacKillop Centre, please contact our team.
