A Living Story of Mercy | All Hallows' Girls School Heritage Centre

SLD is proud to have supported the installation of CAN, SORAA and Ljusdesign lighting at All Hallows' Girls School's new Heritage Centre, 'A Living Story of Mercy', supplied through our resellers, bluebottle and Designcase.

Founded in 1861, All Hallows' is a leading Catholic independent school for girls located in the heart of Brisbane with panoramic city views. With a long and treasured history, the school welcomed a new Heritage Centre in May 2026, to showcase and celebrate its collection of artefacts. The idea was to create a space for visitors to understand the school's legacy and consider how they might carry it forward.

The Centre's lighting was designed by Benjamin Cisterne and was delivered in two parts. Showcase lighting was supplied through Designcase, a joinery specialist for museums and galleries, while overhead track spotlighting was supplied by specialist controls company bluebottle. Both Designcase and bluebottle are trusted resellers, and our team was proud to have supplied the Ljusdesign, CAN and SORAA lighting systems to them for this important project.

Overhead, Arty Zoom spotlights from Swedish manufacturer, Ljusdesign are complemented by the Australian-made CAN 30 spotlights fitted with SORAA PAR30 lamps and magnetic snap lenses. The system is controlled via Casambi, allowing the team to dim lighting through the app to manage light levels around sensitive objects and visitors. Within the joinery, Ljusdesign's Gizmo spotlights, designed especially for lighting sensitive displays, now illuminate the special collection inside the premium cases.

Congratulations to all collaborators and to the All Hallows' Girls School archival team. For further information about our contribution, Ljusdesign, SORAA, the CAN range, or the Heritage Centre, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our team at info@sld.net.au
