SLD was proud to have distributed the Ljusdesign and CAN lighting systems to the Noel Shaw Gallery at the University of Melbourne.

Noel Shaw Gallery introduced a new permanent exhibition in 2025 called, 'The Grand Tour' which explores the eighteenth-century rite of passage undertaken by young British elites across the Italian Peninsula. The exhibition has reinterpreted this through a rich display of artefacts, prints, books, and archival treasures spanning 500 years from the University of Melbourne’s collections.

Previously, our local partners, bluebottle, supported the library with an upgrade of the space which included the formerly known Henry Cruns, Adolphus spotlights, now known as CAN 30s. In addition to a large collection of specialist exhibition spotlights called, Arty Zooms from Ljusdesign. The bluebottle team worked closely with the Noel Shaw Gallery team to deliver a sophisticated and flexible lighting scheme that enhanced the visitor experience and continues to be uterlised for each new exhibition.

Congratulations to the Univeristy of Melbourne, Noel Shaw Gallery and all collaborators on a brilliant and sophisticated exhibition. For more information on Ljusdesign, CAN or our reseller network, get in touch info@sld.net.au
