SLD recently supplied additional lighting for Tails from the Coasts: Nature Stories of Singapore exhibition at Adelaide's Museum of Economic Botany, working through our reseller partner bluebottle.

Nestled in Adelaide Botanic Garden, the Museum of Economic Botany showcases immersive exhibitions in a heritage setting. A standout feature is designer Khai Liew's exhibition space, a permanent installation of timber and brass. In 2024, the structure was upgraded as the museum team required better permanent lighting solutions for this contemporary art space as a whole. Our resellers, bluebottle, supplied the Swedish, specialised exhibition lighting system from Ljusdesign, consisting of Arty Zoom spotlights.

However, for the new Tails from the Coasts exhibition, the museum team required some additional lights and the Australian-made CAN30 spotlights with Soraa PAR30 lamps and Snap lenses were installed.

This combination of CAN and Soraa delivers museum-quality colour rendering and precise beam control which is essential for displays where light quality affects how visitors engage with natural specimens and artwork. The CAN spotlights provide professional flexibility for the museum, while Soraa's LED technology and tool-free Snap lens system make it easy to adapt lighting as exhibition needs change within the arts space.

Congratulations to the entire project team. Interested in museum-grade lighting solutions? Contact us at info@sld.net.au to learn more about Soraa, CAN, and Ljusdesign.
