Signature Artist Installation at Canberra Hospital
SLD was proud to have distributed the Ljus Design lighting system to Canberra Hospital.
In June 2024, the ACT Government Canberra Hospital Expansion project finally unveiled the welcome hall and reception area to the public, along with an exceptional display of five newly commissioned artworks by local artists. We proudly supplied a collection of six Ljus Design Neo Framer Wide fittings which were carefully selected by Additive Lighting who believed these would best illuminate the Bradley Mapiva-Brown work in the images above.
The artist Bradley Mapiva-Brown was commissioned by the ACT Government to create Ngala Dhawura - Country Of Many Trees curated by Creative Road for the Canberra Hospital's new Critical Services Building. This artwork pays homage to the sacred woodlands that surround this place of healing and now sits in the main reception area.
