Melbourne Museum’s Latest 'Our Wondrous Planet'

SLD is proud to have distributed the Ljusdesign lighting system through our Victorian reseller, Show Works, for Melbourne Museum’s latest permanent exhibition, ‘Our Wondrous Planet’.

Located in Carlton Gardens, Melbourne Museum has showcased unique cultural and natural history collections since opening in 2000. The new exhibition invites visitors to explore Earth's incredible living systems through immersive displays featuring animals from around the world.

'Our Wondrous Planet' represents a collaborative effort between leading Victorian design teams. Thylacine Design developed the 'Our Family' showcase design, while Museums Victoria's in-house team led the overall exhibition design. Additive provided expert lighting design throughout the space, seamlessly integrated into Show Works' custom joinery and showcases.

SLD worked closely with Additive and Show Works to supply specialised Ljusdesign lighting solutions for the exhibition displays, including Gizmo and Gimmick spotlights that precisely illuminate the featured collections.
