SLD is proud to have supplied the Swedish Ljusdesign lighting system for BIRKENSTOCK's newest Melbourne flagship store at the Malt Store, Carlton through our valued reseller, Beyond the Beam.

Located at 551 Swanston Street on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country, the store occupies a landmark 1904 building within the former Carlton & United Breweries precinct. Architecturally designed by Melbourne Design Studios, the space brings together retail, repairs and BIRKENSTOCK's Australian office under one roof, with a dedicated repair workshop that speaks directly to the brand's commitment to craftsmanship, longevity and product care.

Beyond the Beam worked closely with lighting consultants Mint Lighting to specify the Ljusdesign Neo Zoom spotlights throughout the store. Selected for their exceptional colour rendering and consistency, the Neo Zooms illuminate BIRKENSTOCK's iconic product displays with precision, enhancing the retail experience without overpowering the building's heritage character.
